Coverage is provided on a net ascertained loss basis once the triggers of the policy are met. The triggers of the policy are death, injury or illness of the insured, and the associated direct loss of expected future income or revenue. Contingent personal accident coverage is more comprehensive than temporary total disability and permanent total disability insurance.
